XTRASPECOur story
From Scrap-It to XtraSpec.
Engineering tomorrow’s systems today.
01 Origins
Technology should transform complexity into clarity.
XtraSpec began with that simple belief. Our roots trace back to Scrap-It, born in 2019 at the Farmingdale State College business plan competition.
02 Evolution
From removing junk to removing inefficiencies.
What started as a junk removal business evolved into building systems that remove inefficiencies from businesses everywhere.
03 Today

The Sayem Standard
Clarity. Equity. Wellbeing.
Our pledge: AI with humanity
The Sayem Legacy
Sayem, the Rising CTO
Once a junior developer, Sayem stepped up to lead, pushing XtraSpec into the spotlight with CNN features and high-profile connections. He brought equal parts technical rigor and humanity to everything he built.
His legacy lives on in Sayem AI and The Sayem Standard, our commitment to building AI with humanity: clarity, equity, and wellbeing at its core.
From the founder
“When I started Scrap-It, I never imagined it would grow into building AI systems that redefine how businesses operate. This journey has been shaped by visionaries like Shannon and Sayem, and supported by my family, Cynthia and Dr. Avery Davis, who remind me to keep people at the heart of technology. At XtraSpec, we’re not just building automation, we’re building systems that think, adapt, and accelerate human progress.”
AI with Soul
Not only powerful. Soulful.
AI with Soul means building systems that think with precision, act with purpose, and always put humanity at the center of progress.
